help me to install hard spl! :[

okay, you say you have full activesync-connection. that should make things easier.
maybe you can give more details for a change:
- pc: xp, vista, w7? (activesync indicates xp, but clarify)
- hardspl: concentrate on flashing 0.72 via usb first
- error: what error-message at what stage? what error-number?

you see, midnight has an x1 now. he had no problems flashing hardspl.

uh, for this case it's bad if midnight did that. ^^
updating hardspl 0.72 to 0.78 from sd works fine.
but i don't think stock-spl to hardspl via sd works. from original xda-thread: "NOTE 4: do not use this RUU to flash anything else! this is only intended for flashing the Hard-SPL."

so i think initial hardspl has to be flashed via usb using this particular exe-file. but it's hard to tell where it goes wrong as long as OP never gives more info than "IT DOESN'T WORK!!!"... (be it here or on xda)

oh, this is getting rich...

connection error means that you DON'T have a full activesync-connection, because the flash-program can't find your phone. meaning: you've been ignoring everything me and others have been telling you in the past weeks. (how many threads have you opened about this now, 5 on both forums?!)

is activesync (xp) or device center (vista, w7) even installed on your pc?
on xda, X1_HardSPL_v1.zip = hardspl 0.72

on phone, settings - connections - usb to pc, choose ActiveSync as method.

It should be easy but someone on htc kaiser have also problem.. and they didnt fix it until today.

you need a working usb-connection too, and that's his problem (drivers). if you mean sd-flash: doesn't work, hardspl-nbh is unsigned. and the whole point of hardspl is what exactly?

I know you need working usb connection,but when with my diamond i couldn't flash from wm,i used to connect when it was in bootloader,always worked,100% of times..

if he has activesync/device central really installed (usb-drivers), it should work, yes.
but general connection error he reported lets me doubt it...

anyway, try it: enter bootloader and then connect to usb. activesync has the drivers to recognize it. and use 0.72, it's easier that way.

it has to be done via usb!!!
